Follow Friday #12 / TGIF #6

Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read
This Week's Question: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get your hands on any particular book?
Answer: I can't really think of anything too crazy. I am pretty good at waiting the many months it takes for the next book of a series to come out. The only thing I can think of is that I once spent almost $300 for a whole bunch of books when I first started reading for leisure again a couple years back. I think I was trying to catch up at the time, so I bought every book that looked interesting.

TGIF at GReads is a Friday Feature hosted by Ginger at GReadsBooks.com! The point of TGIF is to re-cap on this week’s posts and answer the question of the week!

This Week's Question: Recommend It: Which book from the last 10 you've read would you recommend to a friend?
Answer: I just recently read Total Eclipse, the last book of the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine. I effing love this series. It was well written and every book kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't really recommend that you read only the last book, so I have to recommend that you read this whole series. It's very different from the other Urban Fantasy books I have read recently. No vampires or werewolves. It is quite refreshing. It is packed with action, suspense, and a very cute love story thrown in as well. Every character is unique and integral in making this series one of the best I have ever read.

  1. OK, so I nearly picked up one of the weather warden books a few weeks before Christmas but, for some reason, I put it back (please don't hurt me! *hides*)... Umm... it might be because I picked up 7 odd other books that day... and about the same the day before... and, uh, the first 3 Morganville Vampires books along with it...
But, um, seriously? I trust your judgement. You've loved the series I have, so you're officially gonna become my UF/PNR go-to person. You loved it? I'll believe you. No pressure or anything ;P

Seriously, though. I WILL read these.

    1. OMG, *smacks you in the forehead* You must recify this wrong. I LOVED this series. I'd say I only got a little bored with two books, which isn't bad out of nine books. I am going to review them soon, so stay tuned. Hey, how was the Morganville vamps books? Always wanted to know.

  4. $ 300 is not as much as my 400 plus. If I count all the amount I spent on books, it would be thousands.

    1. I know what you mean. Over the years my book purchases easily add up to over thousands of dollars. But it's worth it. :)

  5. $300 sounds like a lot but I'm sure over time I spend that much pretty quickly. I usually spend $10-20 a week although I have been trying to cut back recently.

  13. $300 worth of books sounds like a lot of fun, lol. I've been known to spend just about that on a regular (monthly) basis on books.

  25. I don't tend to go on big-spending rampages. When I get myself in over my head, it's usually through the local public library. Then again, given that I often have to drive all over the county to hit the branch that has the specific book I want, maybe it is a big-spending rampage, via the gas tank.
