His Fair Assassin #2
Summary
Sybella arrives at the convent’s doorstep half mad with grief and despair. Those that serve Death are only too happy to offer her refuge—but at a price. Naturally skilled in both the arts of death and seduction, the convent views Sybella as one of their most dangerous weapons.
But those assassin’s skills are little comfort when the convent returns her to a life that nearly drove her mad. Her father’s rage and brutality are terrifying, and her brother’s love is equally monstrous. And while Sybella is a weapon of justice wrought by the god of Death himself, He must give her a reason to live. When she discovers an unexpected ally imprisoned in the dun geons, will a daughter of Death find something other than vengeance to live for?
This heart-pounding sequel to Grave Mercy serves betrayal, treachery, and danger in equal measure, bringing readers back to fifteenth century Brittany and will keep them on the edge of their seats.

What do you think of this cover? Do you plan on reading this book? Did you like the first book, Grave Mercy?

I agree with you ...loved Grave Mercy cover..this is meh.:(
ReplyDeleteI loved Gravy Mercy totally gave it a five cups of coffee rating and have been drooling for this one. Why Be a sheep, When you can be the wolf an all that.
DeleteI gave it 4.5 stars so I know what you mean. I have it bad for assassin books.
DeleteI agree with you, it's just dull :( Wouldn't pick this one up.
ReplyDeleteSo freakin dull. And the first book was so good, both story and cover.
DeleteI will of course have to read this one. I loved Grave Mercy and the cover was fab. This one is a bit drab. Hopefully the book isn't the same...
ReplyDeleteAs long as the book is awesomeness I will forgive the cover.
DeleteIt just looks like so many other covers, doesn't differentiate itself much. I haven't read Grave Mercy - dang, another one to add to the TBR!
ReplyDeleteIt really does look like ever other cover. And yes, you must read Grave Mercy.
DeleteAhhh, finally! I think this cover is pretty neet, too, I like the blue and gold combi. BUT the dagger is way too ordinary, nothing to that crossbow from the first cover.
ReplyDeleteThe crossbow on the first cover was awesome and different.
DeleteI liked the first cover much better, but I can't wait to read Sybella's story, I was dying to know more about her in Grave Mercy.
ReplyDeleteIvana @ Willing to See Less
I know, this story is going to be amazing.
DeleteNow see, Grave Mercy's cover didn't catch my eye, but this one does. lol. I have a think about cloaks and daggers. ;D LOL! Thanks for sharing, but I've not been called to this series yet.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Well there you go, this cover does work for some people and that's what matters. :)
DeleteI like the cover, but I liked Grave Mercy a lot more.
ReplyDeleteI think you've nailed it--it's missing 'flair'. Also, it looks rendered, not like an actual photo, and Grave Mercy looked like a photo to me, not an illustration. Mo well, it's the insidey bits that county, right? :D
Yeah, that confused me. Why a photo for the first cover and not this one? As long as the story rocks my socks off it will be all good.
