Cover Reveal: Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews - Collector's Edition

What I think: I wasn't going to do a cover reveal for the collector's edition of Magic Bites, but it kept calling to me every time I saw it around the blogosphere. As many of you may know, I tend to not like the covers of the Kate Daniels series. But I have to say, this is a cover I can get use to. Though the model, in my opinion, does not look like how I picture Kate (and she looks too innocent, Kate is rough around the edges), I think the rest is awesome. It fits the story and the color is beautiful. I only wish the rest of the covers could have been like this...but with the old model for Kate.
Summary
When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it arose, leaving all kinds of paranormal problems in its wake.

  5. Oh I absolutely love this cover. I love the lighting with the smoke and lion in the back. And I kinda like this model better than the ones we have already. lol. Thanks for sharing!

    2. YES. Kate needs to be more... liek you said, rough around the edges. The model is VERY pretty, and I just don't think of Kate as pretty, you know? I kind of like that he hair's braided, though. VERY Kate ;D
