Welcome to the blog tour for the steamy paranormal romance novella (138 pages) Waterfall (Dragon's Fate Series, #1) by Lacy Danes. Lacy has provided us with an awesome guest post about how dragons inspired her new series. And don't forget to enter the Tour Wide Giveaway below.
SummaryIt’s easy to fall in love. Destiny requires tooth and claw.
Curses are designed to be cruel, but the one afflicting Jordan and his brothers is almost beyond bearing. A dragon born by blood magic, he is an immortal trapped in human form, with only one hope of finding his eternal mate. He must bite her—and pray she lives.
One dark night, he senses the wounded heartbeat of a woman in the shadows, begging him to end her life. Ever the gentleman, he chivalrously obliges her wish. Only to discover three days later that she lives. And has married another.
Celeste always dreamed of marrying for love, but the nightmare of living in her father’s home drives her to wed the Duke of Hudson. Yet on her wedding eve, she is compelled to follow a mysterious man who professes to know her secret. A man with curious blue scales on his muscular arms—whose shadowed eyes reflect a dangerous mix of destiny and desire…

This novel contains explicit sex, sex in water, four super-hot dragon brothers, and a curse born from magical power that has left them wondering who they are all their lives.
Thank you for
having me on your blog today. I am delighted to be back writing again and hope
that you all find my new series Dragon’s Fate entertaining.
Dragons:
I have always
been drawn to dragons and I have even considered getting a dragon tattoo. Years back, I did a lot of reading on dragons
and what they mean in different societies. I was fascinated to find that in
most societies they mean something different and have different powers. But, in
all cultures they are powerful.
When I decided to write a dragon inspired novella series I wanted to take different things I have read and mix them with things of my own. So my Zir are truly fictional.
I did decide to
use the elemental dragon theme. So I have a water dragon, a fire dragon, a
metal dragon, and air.
Some of my favorite dragon inspirations are:
Books:
Michael
Moorcock-Elric of MelniboneMovies:
Dragonslayer: Movie Trailer
Eragon: Movie Montage
TV shows:
Dragons Ridersof Berk: (My kids turned me on to this one and I LOVE it)

Oh and If you

Enjoy!

Wow – a wonderful insight on how you find your inspiration. I had to admit Eragon was my favourite Dragon movie so far. I can’t wait to read it, Lacy. :)
ReplyDeleteDanielle,
DeleteI loved the movie Eragon. I keep meaning to read the book but sadly have not yet. It sits in my TBR pile!
Yesterday, I also saw Dragonheart again. I had totally forgotten about it. Denis Quaid and Sean Connery as the dragon's voice. I really enjoyed the movie, though it had that 90's special effects and cheese. Still a great watch if you have not seen it.

ReplyDeleteI'm really not into dragons, per say, but these seem mostly human (sort of). The cover caught my eye and also the story line, so I will probably have to change my opinion about dragons! Looking forward to reading it!
