Summary
When twenty-one-year-old Leah Carter’s latest one night stand burglarizes her apartment, her roommate forces her to attend therapy for sex addicts. Leah insists she isn’t a sex addict; she just doesn’t do relationships. After all, sooner or later, everyone lets you down.

At first, the group sessions are little more than an education on how to be promiscuous. Until she meets the newest addict—blue eyes, killer body, and a smile that tempts relapse.

Psychology student Will McLean is posing as a fellow addict while researching a case study on unusual addictions. But the more he learns about Leah, the more certain he is that his desire to break through her walls and unearth her secrets has nothing to do with his assignment.

As the uncertainties spike alongside the sexual tension, the only thing Leah knows for sure is that falling in love would be disastrous. Too bad love might be one addiction she can’t kick.
At A Glance
Addicted To You started out slow and never really picked up. But I did enjoy reading it.

The Good
If you are looking for a cute and sexy read, this is the book for you. Addicted To You is a relaxed, fast read. It's just perfect for taking your mind off the real world without getting you too stressed out by the story.

Leah has a lot of problems trusting people and getting close to them. So she lives off one night stands. But when she finally meets a man who she can see spending time with, she runs away. I liked Leah's surliness. She's rude and you either deal with it or not, she doesn't care either way. But it's just a defense mechanism. But Will sees past her tough exterior and wants to know more about this beautiful, complicated girl. Will was all kinds of yummy. He's Scottish for one thing. He's determined and playful. He's Scottish. He is the sweetest thing since sliced bread. And did I mention he's Scottish? I have it bad when it comes to accents, even in books. It was a nice change up that Will was sweet and kind, not an alpha bad boy. He cuddles with his cat for goodness sakes.

This is also a fun read. The concept was quirky. The sex addicts group had me holding my sides with laughter. But there was also a nice balance of seriousness too. Leah's parents were pretty messed up and they added some good drama. Leah's brother really stood out to me. He is so young and adorable, and strong despite his uncaring parents. Leah and her brother's relationship was amazing. That's how siblings should act towards on another, so supportive and caring.

This story offers likable characters and a sweet but sexy romance. The story flows and keeps you reading.

The Bad
The biggest problem with this book is that it's so slow. Nothing really ever happens. Don't expect any big revelations, huge fights, or major issues. Everything was pretty monotone. This is not an exciting read, it's just sweet but sexy. Addicted To You is overall underdeveloped. And though I liked the characters, they lacked development too. We didn't learn enough about Will to satisfy me. And I really wanted to know more about him.

The Snuggly
I think the sex in this book was a perfect representation of the new adult genre. There was loads of sexual tension, some sexy situations, and a full sex scene. But nothing was lewd or overdone.

Leah and Will start out in lust with each other and it takes forever for them to get together, but I really liked them as a couple. They were so cute.

Final Thoughts
Despite the story and characters being underdeveloped, I enjoyed my time with Addicted To You. I was in the mood for a relaxing read, so it worked out perfectly. Recommended.
Quotes
“I’m here because I, uh, love sex.... Probably too much,... I’m not selective about with whom. Or where. Or when.... I’ve made my rounds through the internet chatrooms, the ones that allow you virtual one-offs with strangers... My weekends are usually spent with multiple strangers. Also, I have two closets full of porn at home, organized by hardcore level and/or fetish, and I go through three tubes of lubricant a week. I think I might have a problem.”

“She drew slow, deep breaths through her nose to steady herself. Just faintly, she caught the scent of what must have been either his cologne or his soap. Fresh sea. Warm sun. Rich earth. It made her want to press her face into that tiny dip at the base of his neck and inhale deeply. Geez, maybe she really did need help.”

“Never let it be said that Will wasn’t up for a challenge. He had no intention of letting her make him a one night stand. Whether she felt the same or not, Will would show her that he was an addiction worth keeping.”

  2. Bummer that the book is slow, because it sounds like kind of a funny idea. I'd totally read this book if it was better developed and a bit more exciting!

    1. hehe, what is it about Scottish boys in fiction all of a sudden? They seem to have saturated the romance genre.
