I accept ARCs, print copies, and ebooks. I prefer books as gifts from Amazon for my Kindle or a print copy to be sent to me directly. I also accept .mobi and .pdf files. We can talk about other formats if these do not work for you.
I also post my reviews on Goodreads and Amazon under Jennifer Bielman.
Please email me first with information about yourself and the book you would like me to review. Let me know if your book is self-published (if you own or co-own the publishing company that published your book, I consider you self-published). I must read a sample (like a first chapter) of your work before I can decide to review your book (exception: blog tours). I will let you know if and when I can review your book in no more than three days. As of now, I can usually get a book read and reviewed in under one month.
To make it simple, here is a checklist of what should be provided in a review request email:
- Book title and summary
- Info about the author (like name, past works, whatever is pertinent)
- Self-published or not?
- A sample of the book (the first chapter, if at all possible)
- Helpful links for me to check out (for book or author)
As of now, I am only accepting 25% of the review requests I receive do to time constraints. The wait time for a review to be posted is two months.
Please know I will give an honest review of every book I read. If after reading your book, I find it to be the quality of 2.5 stars and under, I will send you a courtesy email informing you of this. It will then be up to you on whether you still want me to post a review. But if your book earns 3 stars and up, a review will be posted once I finish the book, and I will inform you within the same hour of posting.
Though I love talking to people through my Facebook page, Twitter account, and Goodreads profile, all review requests must be through email.
Blog Tours:
I love to be a part of blog tours. I always make sure to put the basics into each post for a blog tour, like appropriate links, book covers, author pictures, and so on. However, if the host of the blog tour requires an excessive amount of extra content for my blog tour post, then I reserve the right to withdraw from the blog tour.
