Supernatural
Creatures Rock!

I
love supernatural creatures. Mysterious vampires who never age and are sexy
capture my attention constantly. Bite me please, Mr. Vampire. And who can
resist a hot and hunky werewolf? So what, they change into hairy beasts every
now and then. It's a little detail to deal with. People who can change into other
creatures are cool too. Why can't I be like that? I'd love to shift into a bird
and fly away. Witches and warlocks use magic or earth elements to make things
happen intrigue me too. I even like aliens. Hey, I'm open to any kind of
creature.
But
my favorite has always been vampires. You might think they're overrated and
outdated, but sorry, they aren't in my book, er-books. Because I realize readers
want more than vampires, I try to use other creatures in my books so the
attention is not solely on a vampire.
For
example, my Project Eve series has a vampire in it named Boss. He's one of the 3
main characters, but not the main character. The protagonist is a woman who is
unlike any creature in the world. And she doesn't have any memories.
I
thought it would make for an interesting read. The first book she's trying to
find out how she survived among a mass of dead bodies, who killed them, who
took her memories, what is she, and what the hell is her name. Boss and his
human friend, Jonas, are investigators who find her and try to help her answer
these questions. They also have a shape-shifting friend they live with, a demon
who causes too much trouble for my protagonist, and a sexy werewolf who wants
answers for his missing Alpha. In short, the world is full of different
creatures, including one I created called a garguman (half gargoyle, half
man--nasty buggers). Plus, you have a mystery to solve. But, by the end of the
first book, you will have only a few of the questions answered.
Now
don't get too upset for the unanswered questions in book one. I did that for a
reason. I already had planned another book, The Quest. In the second installment
of the series, my unique protagonist is on a mission to convict the murderer.
What better way to do it then to work for said murderer? The same cast is back,
along with a few additional ones. In The Quest, we have more conflict and
mystery. Rest assured, you will get the answers you seek from both books in The
Quest.
The
Project Eve series is urban fantasy with a HFN ending. It's not romance, but
there is a graphic sex scene in each book. There's also language and violence.
These books are for adults.

Blurb
She’s the only one of her kind. And she doesn’t
even know her name.
Two investigators--one human, one vampire--find a
young woman among a mass of dead bodies. She has no memories, and nothing but
her clothes, two receipts, and a mysterious dagger carved with the initials
‘SB’.
As she seeks her identity, SB realizes she is
unlike any creature in the world, making her the most valuable person on the
planet. And the most wanted. ~ Add on Goodreads

Now that she knows her name and what she is, she wants justice for everything she’s lost. Though her memories elude her, she takes a job for a half-demon Senator and, aided by werewolves from a local clan, intends to uncover evidence that will convict the Senator of more than thirty murders.
The
Project Eve series is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and most other
vendors. You can find excerpts on my website, and the first chapter of each
book is available on Amazon.
I also write paranormal romance. I have a series called The Soul Catcher with four books available on Amazon. I have a new PNR series called Midnight Gardens and the first book comes out in 2013. For more information about my books, I encourage you to visit me at www.maryabshire.com

ReplyDeleteMy husband changes into a werewolf every few weeks...and then I find a pile of black hair on the bathroom rug when he shaves off all that fur. Uck.
