Blospiration #16: Writing Rules

Blogspiration is a Brand Spankin' New weekly meme hosted by both GrowingUp YA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation and just a little SOMETHING.

So I saw this poster the other day on the internet. I am going to buy. I think it is the perfect inspirational poster for writers, especially with NaNoWriMo going on. It's called The Only 12 1/2 Writing Rules You'll Ever Need. I actually follow most of these "rules." They have helped me a lot in my writing journey and I know they will keep me focused in the future. (The pic is a bit fuzzy, I couldn't find a bigger one, sorry)

Poster available at All Posters.
Any writers out there utilizing these rules? What does everyone think of the poster?

  1. This is such a great post for me- I'd feel so incredibly guilty if I wasn't doing NaNo and writing more than I have in a single time since last November! 6, 7, 8 and 9 all basically sum me up- such a great poster! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Those are some great rules to live by. I think the one I have the hardest time with is keeping a steady routine. Especially with all of life's surprises popping up at unexpected moments. This poster is motivating and encouraging. Thanks for sharing!

  7. You know, I once thought it's weird that I am in my most creative writing mind when I am doing the dishes. But really, it's true. I can't stop thinking of all the things I want to write which is funny since my hands are full of.. well, dishes. lol! :)
