Stacking The Shelves #71: The Dark World

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual.
For Review:
NetGalley
I saw this one around so much last Saturday I had to grab a copy for myself.

Sounds pretty intense.
The Curse Breakers by Denise Grover Swank

Edelwiess
Such a sad sounding story but I bet it's powerful.

I still need to read the first book but everyone I know loved it.

The tagline for this one is The Lovely Bones meets Black Swan. Yeah, all over it.

I am weird. I have a weird thing about being touched by most people. So this book calls to me.

 Hells yeah, this sounds fun!

BRAINS!!!!

 Yay, more historical romance.

Have you read any of these books before? Which one should I read first? What did you get this week?

  2. I thought I recognised the cover of I Adored A Lord - it's been used previously for The Vespertine by Saundra Mitchell! Love the cover of The Dark World too, waiting on some more reviews for that before deciding if I want to read it.

I'm Stacking My Shelves with books you might not have heard of...

  4. Nice haul! Some great looking covers here... Makes me wonder how effective Stacking the Shelves is at selling/promoting books; I bet it has some influence!

  5. Haha, I just read what Vickie wrote and noticed it too. That Vespertine girl ends up on so many book covers. She's on the Australian Goddess Test over here.

I haven't been on NetGalley for a while, but Dark World does sound awesome. I love demon books, tv, everything--hence my blog title.

Anyway, here's my Stacking the Shelves if you want to check it out.

  6. Great haul! I've been avoiding Netgalley and Edelweiss as I knew there were loads of great new books on both. Looks like I'll have to stop resisting temptation and have a look, especially as I really want to read Dark World, Feral and Rites of Passage.

Enjoy your new books and happy reading :)

  8. I've not read any of these, but have requested the Curse Breakers. I also requested the 1st in that series at NetGalley as it's available until The Curse Breakers releases. They sound awesome and have great reviews! Thanks for spotlighting that one!

  9. Feral sounds good. The tagline also sold it to me.

  10. OOh nice! Spoiler, I got The Dark World too this week! Heehee! Not much of a spoiler I guess! Can't wait to read it. I have it in my number three slot to be read soon, been seeing a lot of it around and it started to catch my eye so I requested it! Can't wait to read it!

The Curse Breakers sounds familiar, but I don't know if I've seen it or not. Hope you enjoy all your reads though!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

  12. The cover for The Curse Breakers makes me think there is a love triangle (which is a no-no for me). Have you read book 1? Is there a love triangle?

    1. Me too. I tend to hoard first books and wait for book 2 to come out so I don't have to wait. I know, I am weird.

  21. LOL I love the fact that you're saying you're weird because you don't like people to touch you. I have a horrible thing with that too. If I don't know you, there is a space requirement that I'd really like you to meet. It tends to make first dates awkward and me uncomfortable. Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

    1. I know. First Dates are the worst. Only family can touch me and even then, I have to like that family member.
