Author Interview & Giveaway: The Faded Trilogy by Chloe Miles

Hey awesome readers! Today we have a treat. Chloe Miles, author of the young adult, paranormal romance The Faded Trilogy, is here to answer a few of my questions. Get to know her and her books and see if you are interested. If you are, enter the giveaway at the end for a chance to win all three ebooks!

Jennifer: What inspired you to write The Faded Trilogy?
Chloe: I wanted to write a paranormal romance that was a little different to everything else that’s already been written. I loved the idea of earthbound spirits protecting the town from evil. And, being a hopeless romantic, I loved the idea of eternal undying love, especially between two characters who are so young but whose love is so rare and beyond their years.

Jennifer: Did anything (or anyone) surprise you while writing The Faded Trilogy?
Chloe: Yes! I'm not usually someone who cries in sad books and movies, but being forced to feel the emotion from my characters' point of view in order to portray it through my writing had me bawling like a baby!!

Jennifer: If you were going to come up with a theme song for the trilogy, what song would it be?
Chloe: Safe To Believe, which is a beautiful song by an amazing Australian artist called Delta Goodrem. I think it really encompasses the power of Savannah and Hunter's love story.

Jennifer: What sets your Trilogy apart from the YA Paranormal Romance genre?
Chloe: I believe that The Faded Trilogy has an incredibly powerful and important message behind it that love really can conquer all, even the impossible. (And it has Hunter Emmerton. Need I say more?!)

Jennifer: Finish this sentence: I cannot write without...
Chloe: Inspiration. Which seems to hit me almost every moment of every day. Which also means I never travel anywhere without a pen and paper, just in case ;)

Jennifer: Who are your favorite authors?
Chloe: I would have to say J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter is the series that really inspired my imagination and love of reading as a kid. I honestly believe there hasn’t been and never will be another series as phenomenal as Harry Potter. It’s just way up there on its own little pedestal in my mind.

Jennifer: What is one book you think everyone should read?
Chloe: Mine, of course! Haha.

Jennifer: So what's next for you? Are there any other projects you are working on or plan to?
Chloe: I’m not working on any other writing projects at the moment. Promoting The Faded Trilogy is occupying all of my time, and I want to dedicate my heart and soul to ensuring its success before I move on to any other projects. You never know what may happen in the future in regards to other writing projects, but right now my heart belongs to Savannah and Hunter.

Jennifer: I can't thank you enough for taking the time to answer a few of my questions. Is there anything else you would like to mention before we part ways?
Chloe: I can't thank you enough for taking the time to feature me on your blog! I'm sure I speak on behalf of all authors when I say that our success wouldn't be half as possible without the support of wonderful bloggers like yourself.

  7. I too find J.K. Rowling to be the ultimate author. The Harry Potter world is more intricate and creative than I've ever seen before or since. The idea behind The Faded Trilogy is very interesting. The earthbound spirits and eternal love is definitely intriguing. Thanks so much for sharing! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

  9. I like reading interviews. I also like when an author tries a different take on an oft told story. I am liking the covers for the trilogy and the books sound good. It's nice when the giveaway includes all the books, no waiting. ^_^
