Interview & Giveaway: Tempted by Evil by Shannon Morton & Amber Natusch (Blog Tour)

Today we are celebrating the recent release of the YA Paranormal book Tempted by Evil (Light and Shadow Trilogy #1) by Shannon Morton and Amber Lynn Natusch. Shannon has provided us with a fun interview below. And both the authors are letting me give away one ecopy of Tempted by Evil as well. So don't forget to enter at the end of the post.
Jennifer: Describe Tempted by Evil in three words.
Shannon: Good versus Evil.

Jennifer: What was it like writing a novel with another author?
Shannon: Absolutely amazing! Working with Amber was seriously a dream come true.  I’ve learned so much about the writing process and a million other small things that are really invaluable.

Jennifer: What were the best and most challenging parts of writing Tempted by Evil?
Shannon: Best parts: Working with Amber and finishing my first novel.  Most challenging parts: Finding the time to write!

Jennifer: Can you tell us three surprising facts about yourself?
Shannon: I’m a perfectionist and Pilates instructor who loves to eat greasy drive-in food.  J

Jennifer: What sets your book apart from the YA/Paranormal genre?
Shannon: Read it and find out!! J

Jennifer: What would you choose as the theme song for Tempted by Evil?
Shannon: Can I choose 2? Depending on which scene I was writing, I would either listen to Darkshines by Muse (I know, I know) or Everlong (Acoustic Version) by FooFighters. Writing perfection!

Jennifer: Who is your favorite author and/or what is your favorite book?
Shannon: I have too many faves to list…but Caged Series, Fever, Midnight Sun (unfinished, I know), Harry Potter, and Scarlet Letter are a few.

Jennifer: Have you always wanted to be an author?
Shannon: No, I used to want to be an actress.

Jennifer: I can't thank you enough for taking time out to answer a few of my questions. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Is there anything else you would like to mention to my readers before we part ways?
Shannon: Both Amber and I have additional solo projects in the works so keep your eyes open for more to come! Thanks!

Author Bio
- Shannon Morton
I'm a reader of fantasy turned writer who enjoys great characters and fascinating plot twists. When I'm not writing, I can be found teaching Pilates, being mommy to two fabulous kiddos, or just generally being a crazy sarcastic insomniac mess!!

Author Bio
- Amber Natusch
If you're dying to know more about me, allow me to put you at ease. I'm a sharp-tongued, sarcastic cancer, who loves vegetable smoothies, winter storms, and the word 'portfolio'. I should NEVER be caffeinated, and require at least eight hours of sleep to even resemble a human being. At thirty-four, I just now feel like I can keep a straight face while saying the word "rectum" (which is actually a huge lie because I just laughed out loud while reading this to my husband). I live with my iPod firmly affixed to my body, drive too fast, and laugh/cry at inappropriate times.

I'm obsessed with urban fantasy... When I discovered that genre, I knew I had found my tribe. Now I write in that world because that's what the voices in my head tell me to do. And they are very, very loud :)

  4. I do love the cover, but the interview feels a little short. I wish the author would have elaborated a little more, especially with the actress turned author bit. I bet there is a very interesting story behind that career change.

    1. I get what you are saying. I assume it is because it's part of a blog tour and it's hard for authors to answer so many questions and write guest posts all at once. But I do agree. I would have liked to know a little more.

  11. This sounds like an emotional and sad book. Is there any romance in it? I usually assume books in this genre has a romance throughout the book.
