Summary
Blinded by a mysterious seizure when she was three years old, Bash Martin has managed to carve out a normal life for herself as an adult. Yet she still yearns for a deeper connection with her twin sister Lily, who has always been jealous of the attention their parents bestowed upon Bash due to her disability.

A dream vacation seems like the perfect chance to heal their relationship, but Bash soon realizes there is something terribly wrong with Lily and that her sister is hiding a dark secret. And when a supernatural fire engulfs their hotel and corpses come back to life, the sisters are plunged into a nightmarish world that threatens not only their lives, but their very souls.

Authors I Stalk
by Erin Hayes

Hi there!

I’m Erin Hayes and I’m the author of the horror novel Fractured and a few other books across a wide variety of genres. I’m sci-fi nerd, a geek, and a bookworm. As such, I have a bunch of authors that I admire. And what’s awesome about the Internet, I can stalk them online. Here’s a list of them:

I consider Horror Author Rhiannon Frater to be a good friend. Her books are amazing and absolute favorites of mine. If you haven’t read her books yet, pick one up! They’re amazing.

Stephen King is another author that I love to follow. I read his On Writing, which gave me inspiration for my own writing career. His books have given me so many nightmares. I strive to write as creepily as he does. I’ve read quite a few of his books, and they’re great. I highly recommend The Shining and The Long Walk.

Garth Nix’s Sabriel was one of my favorite books when I was 10 years old, and it hasn’t left me. I like him on Facebook and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Not only that, I met him at a Reader’s Festival when I lived in New Zealand. I think I fangirled pretty badly and scared him. But I got him to sign my Old Kingdom Trilogy!

Each of these authors has inspired me and helped me in their own way. I look up to them for help in my writing career. And I re-read their books at every chance I get.

Thank you so much for having me today! Keep reading and be inspired by the authors who have let us have a glimpse of their worlds. They’re amazing!

  3. It's good to know that I'm not the only one with stalkerish tendencies, and that authors even do it! Stephen King & Rhiannon Frater are definitely some of the first names that come to mind when I think horror. Thanks for the generous giveaway!

  10. Hahaha my sister loves Stephen King so much. He frightened me so much as a child so now unfortunately, I can't handle horror. In all honesty, that just shows how brilliant he is though. Great post! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
