Interview & Giveaway: Fallen Angels Saga by E Van Lowe (Blog Tour)

Please welcome E Van Lowe, the author of the YA Paranormal Fallen Angels Saga including Boyfriend From Hell, Earth Angel, and Heaven Sent. E has provided us with an awesome interview as well as a generous giveaway at the end of this post. Make sure to enter for your chance to win a signed print set of all three books.

Jennifer: How did you come with the idea for the Falling Angels Saga?
E Van Lowe: I didn’t start out with the idea of writing a series.  Boyfriend From Hell was originally a one-off.  But coming out of series TV I knew I wanted to write book series as well, and so about 1/3 into BFH I started turning it into a series.

Jennifer: What sets your Falling Angels Saga apart from the YA Paranormal genre?
E Van Lowe: One of the things that sets me apart as a writer of paranormal is my sense of humor and my sense of pacing.  The genre on a whole is pretty earnest and doesn’t possess much humor.  In writing the Falling Angels Saga I deliberately set out to write fast-paced stories that were a bit lighter in tone than the norm.

Jennifer: What were the best and most challenging parts of writing your saga?
E Van Lowe: I can’t say what’s the best.  The most fun for me is coming up with the twists and having them dovetail back into the story.  I love reading all those reviews where readers say “I didn’t see that coming.”  The most challenging part is constantly reminding myself of the growth and milestones Megan has accomplished in the previous book.  It is important for me that the new book feel familiar and yet give the reader a sense that she is a more evolved person from the earlier books, with more difficult challenges.

Jennifer: Can you tell us three surprising facts about yourself?
E Van Lowe: I am afraid of bridges.  It can be pretty traumatic for me to cross a bridge, especially if I am driving.  I’m also extremely handsome and extremely modest.  LOL.  I couldn’t think of three.

Jennifer: If you were going to come up with a theme song for your Falling Angels Saga, what song would it be?
E Van Lowe: Hmm. Okay, Pumped Up Kicks, because there’s that phrase “He’s coming for you,” and in the saga Satan is coming for Megan…. And I think it’s a fun song.

Jennifer: Do you have any advice for beginning writers?
E Van Lowe: Beginning writers need to keep writing and finish the things they write.  That’s the key to having a career.  Start and finish, then start again.

Jennifer: What project are you currently working on?
E Van Lowe: I’m not working on anything at the present.  After completing Heaven Sent I decided to take a little break.  I will probably start working on the final book in the series mid January.

Summary
Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship—they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together.

“But come on, guys, she’s my mother… Can I really tell her that while we’re snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I’m secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes? Of course not…”

The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again. She hasn’t had a man in her life since Megan’s father left ten years ago.

Enter two mysterious young men, Megan’s new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando. Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships.

But neither of the handsome pair is quite what he seems. In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride. Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him. If she doesn’t, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL.
